Who is Sharon Stidham? Sharon is a certified Consulting Hypnotist, and a certified HypnoCoach(tm). She is the owner of Coach Sharon's Personal Coaching, Springfield Study Skills, and The Writer's Hypnotist. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics (with a minor in Writing), a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, and is a Certified Teacher in both in Secondary Mathematics and in English as a Second Language in the State of Texas. She has also completed extensive training in teaching the gifted student, and in a plethora of teaching techniques. She is trained in public speaking, in management training, and in business analysis. She is a member in good standing of the National Guild of Hypnotists. What has she done professionally? She financed her college education (and paid for all other living expenses) by working full-time. Immediately upon graduating, she was recruited by a major telecommunications company, into their Executive Development program. There, she worked in Finance, Financial Planning, Regulatory Analysis, Contracts, Regulatory Finance and Financial Systems. From here, she moved into the disciplines of Financial Consulting, Pricing, Product Management, Marketing Management, Product Development, Product Marketing, Revenue Assurance and Cost Control functions with a variety of companies in the telecommunications and technology fields, ending at the executive level. Post-9/11, in the middle of her telecommunications and technology careers, she lost her job. The high-tech sector in northern Texas was decimated, and no other opportunities were viable. So, she pursued her teaching certification and taught high school for four years. Since then, she has helped others start consulting firms and other businesses. What has she done personally? Sharon is an avid writer and sought-after public speaker, and has been a Girl Scout Leader, a school volunteer, an accomplished musician, a champion Irish Dancer, and a dedicated community volunteer. She is also a devoted mom, and wife. She has earned Instructor certifications in Irish Dance, CPR/First Aid/AED, Aerobics, as a Fitness Specialist, and as a Corporate Trainer. She has also mentored college students, high school students, and employees, helping them to realize and achieve their dreams. Life has thrown her curve balls, and she's changed her path in response each time. That's what a good coach does -- takes advantage of the circumstances in which one finds themself, instead of waiting for things to happen. |
